Editorial policy
Our goal is useful travel reporting that shows readers where each factual claim came from and what it means for a trip.
Sources and verification
We prioritize government agencies, airports, transit operators, health authorities, and other primary sources. Reports from publishers are corroborated before publication when a primary source is not available. Discovery services help us find reporting; they are not treated as proof.
Original work and attribution
TravelDay publishes original summaries and analysis. We link to the source material behind a story and do not republish third-party articles or photographs without permission. Supporting excerpts are limited to what editors need to verify a claim.
Automation and review
Automated systems may discover, cluster, and draft material. Full articles and newsletters require human approval. A short flash briefing may publish automatically only after it passes strict sourcing, conflict, citation, and safety checks.
Corrections and retractions
Material changes are identified on the article and retained in its revision history. A report that can no longer be supported is retracted and removed from public feeds and TravelDay search. Source outages alone do not erase previously verified reporting.
Safety
TravelDay News informs travelers but is not an emergency service. News stories do not create safety alerts by themselves; urgent alerts use a separate, official-source-led verification and audience process.
